Education sector has undergone a drastic change in last few years. There is sharp rise in number of colleges offering variety of courses that counts roughly around 30,000 as compared to 9,500,15 years back. Also the number of students has increased to 16.9 million from that of 5.5 during same period, thereby reflecting the change in thinking of people towards education in India. After completing schooling, the student looks for career options that suit their skills and personality.

One of the common trends that are being followed today is choosing MBA as career. There are number of management colleges offering MBA degree in different Domains. Indian Institute of Management (IIM’s) is one of such management colleges considered as pioneer of this Domain. The duration for this course is two years where a student learns all the technical skills in his specified domains and targets jobs accordingly. A management student looks for job as a Manager in different domains.

There was a time when medical and engineering career were at the top priority of people. After completing graduations as engineers there are people who are satisfied with their career but there are others who are not.  Also, with the increase in number of medical and engineering college, the students and professionals are targeting management as Career. This desire leads them to opt out for management programs like Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from top most MBA Finance Course in Delhi , Delhi NCR, Mumbai etc. Why I am talking about MBA colleges in Delhi NCR/Mumbai/Bangalore because these are the hub for various management institute as well as head offices of various Multinationals. When we talk about best Business schools in Delhi NCR and other places like IIM’S they have more than 90% MBA students from engineering background.

So engineering plus MBA is selling like a Hot cake in a market today. There is a huge demand for managers with an engineering background. Also when evaluated in term of growth prospects the same stands out to be a great combination. The reason is off course the fact that in order to manage a large scale project one need to be well aware of how the things actually works at grass root level. When opting for engineering or Management College, people considers geographic locations as one important factors under consideration. The reason for the same is that most of the MNC’s has setup their head office in Metropolitan cities so if an individual is a working professionals for example  he/she searches for the top MBA colleges in Delhi NCR or top engineering college in Delhi/NCR and accordingly makes his/her choices.

Whether to go for MBA or not is strictly an individual’s opinion and their satisfactions level with their current working environment. What we can make out from this India is emerging as a pool of highly talented Engineers and Management graduate today who can be the Business leader of tomorrow.
